Hello all,

As I’ve been away and busy working on my zombie book series, Don’t Feed The Dark, I was recently involved in an event that ran for the first ten days of October. I had a chance to feature many of my darker visuals just in time for Halloween. Here’s a video I made for the event:

Thanks for stopping by. Here is the link for the entire ten day event including links to the other authors who were involved in the event: 2015 October Frights Blog Hop

I’m excited to announce that on February 10th, I will be releasing a new online serial novel, Don't Feed The Dark (under my alter-ego name Scott Scherr).

It's a free online zombie novel that will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the entire novel is posted. To find out more, please feel free to click the link in the sidebar.

I will be frequenting the site with zombie related visual pieces surrounding the book and zombie theme in general when they become available.

Due to my involvement with Don't Feed The Dark, I won't be around at Eckovision as much, but I will continue to post any new visual pieces for both Inn Situ and Don't Feed The Dark projects when they become available.

I hope you have time to stop over and read the book and I would love to hear your comments about it.

Java Zombie (a tribute to The Walking Dead)

One of my favorite shows, The Walking Dead, is back for more high-octane action and drama. I’ve been wanting to do a tribute piece for a while and this little bit of humor was all that I could come up with. I often have to stay up late on Sundays to watch Walking Dead, then the Talking Dead live show. Unfortunately, I pay the price having to get up at four am the following morning to do the dayshift thing. When the coffee bean is no more, I will know beyond a doubt that the end of the world has truly come…lol.

Inn Situ: Let it Ride (Reflections of Eddie Crenshaw)

Let it Ride

Here is my second piece from the Inn Situ Chronicles visual series centered around a character named Eddie Crenshaw from Michael’s story, “You, Me and James Dean”. This piece takes another look at Eddie and is directly influenced by Michael’s story. Michael does a great job of describing Eddie here:

“Allow me to paint a visual picture of Eddie for you. Eddie stands about 5’5″ and is perpetually dressed in a menacing scowl framed by a black leather coat replete with zippers, straps and buckles in excess. He likes his music loud, fast and chock full of screaming guitars competing with screaming vocals. His conversation is what my grandfather might have called “colorful” and my mother… well, let’s just say that my mother never approved would have never approved of Eddie.

Eddie’s story, You, Me & James Dean, appears relatively early on in Volume I, in a section designated as L’Chayim: To Life! A character in Eddie’s story, whom I named only as Brenda, makes her own starring appearance in Scott’s two part story The Road Has Spoken featuring Brenda Alvarez, a young girl from Ohio in search of a new life. As is often the case, Brenda gets sidetracked on the road to discovering her new self. She and Eddie lived together briefly until Eddie passed on in a freak accident, forcing Brenda to move on.”

Here is my first work from the Inn Situ Chronicles visual series. This piece takes a secondary look into the character of Kenny Marano, a Sedona police officer who is involved in an unfortunate incident involving the death of a kid while on patrol one night that changes his life forever. As a result of the death, Kenny becomes a regular nightly fixture in a shadowy corner of the Inn Situ. Kenny first appears in the story “Long Slow Train” written by Michael Raymond and is one of many stories slated for Inn Situ Volume One, nearing the end of the editing phase. This visual is directly inspired by Michael’s story.

My apologies for my absence and lack of new visuals.  I’ve been neck deep in a couple other projects.  One being, the Inn Situ Chronicles, a collaborative collection of stories centered around a bar called the Inn Situ and the surrounding areas of Sedona, Arizona.  This is a wonderful collection of stories first envisioned by author, Michael Raymond, who set the stage masterfully as the world of Inn Situ came to life.  I later joined this project and together we’ve been exploring the mysteries of Sedona and coming to know the numerous characters that have frequented the Inn Situ bar as a sort of crossroads.  We are currently in the final editing stages of Inn Situ Volume One and Volume Two is well underway.  I encourage you visit Michael’s webpage for a more in depth look at Inn Situ and the tales which reside there.

I have already been given the green light to come up with a series of visuals for Inn Situ and I will be sharing them as they become available.

In the meantime, please come explore Inn Situ and find out what it’s all about.  There are sample stories already posted.

I encourage you to leave your comments over there and add your support to this project.

 Thanks,

ecko.
